Licensing Updates
ActivInspire Personal Edition License
Non-Promethean Products
Users are permitted to use ActivInspire Personal Edition with non-Promethean products, subject to them having applied for a Teacher Consent License.
The Teacher Consent License is provided solely for the purpose of operating resources available from Promethean Planet on non-Promethean hardware.
Use of the software outside these conditions with non-Promethean products is a breach of the ActivInspire Personal Edition License and requires users to purchase an ActivInspire Professional Edition License.
Upgrades via an ActivHub
Upgrading to ActivInspire Professional Edition is only permitted via an ActivHub when a set of ActivExpression/ActiVotes or an ActivPanel has been purchased and is connected to the ActivHub.
Use of ActivInspire in conjunction with an ActivHub outside these conditions is a breach of the ActivInspire License and requires users to purchase an ActivInspire Professional Edition License.
ActivInspire Professional Edition License
License Versions
ActivInspire Professional Edition has two license variations, according to global region. Version 2 of the license relates to the use of ActivInspire Professional Edition within China and Kazakhstan, while Version 1 of the ActivInspire Professional Edition license relates to the Rest of the World, which is all other territories excluding China and Kazakhstan.

What Is the Knowledgebase?
The Promethean Knowledgebase is your first point of call for technical and product assistance. It is an online database of information relating to ActivBoards, ActivSoftware and all the associated peripherals.
What Countries Does It Support?
Visitors to the Knowledgebase currently have the following options to choose from: Americas (English and Spanish); Europe, Middle East, Africa (English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Dutch and Portuguese); Asia Pacific (English and Simplified Chinese).
What Type of Information Does It Contain?
There is a wealth of information within the Knowledgebase to support you, should you have a technical query. It includes information such as:

Find out how to use the basic functions of ActivInspire with our online introductory courses for new users plus migration courses for existing ActivPrimary and ActivStudio users.
If you are upgrading from an existing version of ActivInspire and have ActivExpression or ActiVote devices, you will need to upgrade the firmware on your devices to use Self-Paced Learning.
Please note: the mathematics equation editor functionality is compatible with ActivExpression V2.
